The conflict between parents and children is unfolding against the backdrop of the whirlpool of the revolution. A senior coachman, Gordiy is trying to protect his daughter Katya from the White guards for she hides her pro-Bolshevik lover at the attic and cooperates with the underground. Finally, the father's intentions accidentally lead to the arrest and death of Katya.
